Pokerstarts

Gamblers prefer pokerstarts to play using real money and without any betting limits. Some professionals like Phil Ivey make a living playing at the no-limit high stakes tables but in every site poker starts after betting using play money or virtual cash.

The most famous game among high rollers is the No-limit Texas Holdem, offered on the poke stars room, this is the poker variation which you are most likely to be familiar if you have watched the world series of poker starts on television.

The following poker starts rules are the same for most cardrooms, including the online poker stard site:

  1. First each player is dealt two cards face down. The deal rotates around the table, with the dealer being indicated by a button.
  2. The first player to the left of the button makes a minimum bet. This is the mandatory small blind.
  3. The second player is called the big blind and bets double the minimum bet
  4. Betting then proceeds around the table. A round of betting is never complete until everybody in the pot has put in the same amount of money or folded.
  5. If a player raises, the next player to act has three options: to throw the hand in, to call by putting the same sum in the pot as the last bettor or raise and wager more than the previous bettor.
  6. The action passes around the table and each player who has yet to act must at least match the money wagered by the previous person still in the pot.
  7. Eventually it comes to the dealer. When he has acted, the small blind must act. He may pass, call or raise. If nobody has raised, he must at least call the minimum bet or pass.
  8. If nobody has raised when it reaches the big blind, he may either take no betting action at this stage, or raise. If he checks, then everybody has put the same amount of money into the pot.
  9. Any player who has yet to match the money of the last raiser, has the right to raise.
  10. Once everybody has wagered the same amount in this turn the next stage of betting begins.
  11. In the case of Texas Holdem the flop is dealt. First the top card is discarded unseen or burnt. Then three common cards are dealt face up in the middle.
  12. Betting then proceeds from the first person after the button due to act. He may check or bet. As it goes around the table, each player has the option. Once somebody has raised, the next person to act has the option of passing, calling or raising.
  13. The next stage is called the turn. Again a card is burnt and a fourth shared card is dealt face up.
  14. After the real money is matched a third card is burnt and a fifth and final communal card is dealt face up. This is called the river.
  15. After the final betting interval, the cards are shown and the best hand wins the pot.
  16. Each player may use none of his own cards or one or two of his own hole cards, in addition to three, four of five shared cards.
  17. When there are several players in the hand and one has used all his money, he is said to be all-in. He can only win the cash in the main pot. The next round of pokerstarts when betting continues between the players still in action who have chips or cash.
